Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan hosts the IPRA 2018 Peace Conference opening ceremony at Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir in the presence of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj on Saturday 24th November 2018 at 4pm.
Today, the earth is screaming with pains of conflicts and wars as well as environmental destruction. It has a number of serious ‘pains’ such as regional conflicts, terrorism, poverty and pollution of water (the sea, the river), land (the mountain), air (the sky), the drying-up of natural resources, the water shortage, the decrease of the forest, the disappearance of the species, the desertification, and the food shortage.
We do need to change the “zero-sum” way of thinking to create one’s own wealth by sacrificing others and at the cost of others, to the “plus sum” way of thinking to create prosperity together and to be prosperous together. The problem is the lack of the conscience. For the prosperity of the human race i.e. humanity and the preservation of the global environment i.e. nature, it is decisively vital to regain the lost conscience and to build-up the new earth culture based on the conscience. We need to innovate for sustainable global peace in many ways. New ways of thinking, culture, politics, business, society are all needed.
In the place where Mahatma Gandhi was born and raised, IPRA shall discuss new ways and thinking for realizing global peace. We invite all the peace researchers and peace workers to the historical conference in India.
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir (Memorial Temple) in Ghodasar, Ahmedabad, India, is a unique and grand marble temple built at the exact site of Jeevanpran Swamibapa's cremation in 1979. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj built the extraordinary monument in commemoration and celebration of His remarkable Guru. This magnificent Mandir contains unique and unparalleled architecture, art, and sculpture, all representing Jeevanpran Swamibapa's service to society.
On one occasion, Gujarat's leading scholar and highly revered philosopher, Honourable Shree Keshavram Kashiram Shastri, visited the Mandir. Seeing the Mandir's unique architecture, intricate carvings, and the magnificent Murtis installed within it, and experiencing its divine serenity, he gave it the accolade, 'World Peace Centre'. The spiritual desires and prayers of thousands have been fulfilled by performing pilgrimages to the Mandir. Countless visitors describe the remarkable tranquillity and mental peace that they experience at the Mandir. As such, the Smruti Mandir is hailed as a symbol of "world peace."
