A brief respite between the drizzle and rain made perfect timing for Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s arrival today – it was drizzling before He arrived and raining shortly after He entered into the Mandir, but stayed totally dry during His welcoming parade.
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band welcomed Acharya Swamishree Maharaj as He arrived on Townsend Lane, alighted from His car and presided on a fabulous golden chariot that would be lovingly drawn into Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Complex by Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s Sants. The Band led this procession into the Complex’s forecourt where the Band’s cadets had neatly assembled to join the Band in leading Acharya Swamishree Maharaj into the Mandir.
The Mandir was filled with disciples despite it being a weekday morning – everyone eager to have Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s darshan at the earliest opportunity on the UK leg of His Sadbhav Amrut Parva tour. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed Aarti soon after arriving into the Mandir before cutting a special welcoming cake and offering it to the Lord. This concluded the morning’s brief celebrations, and marked the beginning of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s month-long UK residency, during which He will fulfil the spiritual desires of the disciples residing here, and preside over the Patotsav celebrations of Shree Swaminarayan Mandirs in London and Bolton as well as numerous other festivities as part of the Sadbhav Amrut Parva.
