On Monday 24 October 2022, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Embleton-Perth started its Diwali 2022 celebrations with Sadguru Din (Aamas) meditation and remembrance followed by Chopda Poojan and then Sandhya Aarti and daily niyams. The event was attended by Cr Sally Palmer the elected member for the Central Ward in the City of Bayswater in which the Temple is located. There were colourful rangolis on display decorated by devotees at the Mandir.
The main Annakut and Hindu New Years celebration took place on Wednesday 26 October 2022. This included a grand display of food (Annakut) in front of the Murtis of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa that were installed by our current spiritual leader Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadas Swamiji Maharaj and bestowed by our Prem Murti Bapa, Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj as part of the Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Murti-Pratishtha Mahotsav Perth event this year between 15 to 17 April 2022.
The Mandir was open throughout the whole day on the Wednesday with Aarti at 6.30am (Mangala), 10.00am (Shangar), 11.30am (Rajbhog), 4.00pm (Sheetal) and 6.30pm (Sandhya).
The main program commenced with Annakut darshan and Aarti at 10am. Disciples listened to the blessings of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and those attending the day were shown highlights of the Perth Murti-Pratishtha Mahotsav and Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav events that took place in 2022. The program concluded at lunchtime with Sneh Milan and a variety of wonderful Annakut Prasad savoury and sweet served as roopi bhojan.
Amongst visitors on the day was Dr Sadhana Bose the Vice President and Secretary of Hindu Council of Australia (WA Chapter)
