On the divine day of Sadguru Din, Shree Swaminarayan Temple Kentucky celebrated its 11th Patotsav on Sunday, June 16th in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. This was the second patotsav performed by Acharya Swamiji Maharaj at Kentucky Temple.
Before Acharya Swamiji Maharaj's arrival, disciples peformed a samuh parayan for the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth.
Upon His arrival, a procession was held escorting Acharya Swamiji Maharaj to the Temple on an beautiful float. Many disciples danced and sang in joy and marched around the parking lot of the mandir. Then, Bapa and sants entered the mandir and performed darshan of Supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Bapa and sants performed aarti of Lord Swaminarayan upon their arrival as well. Afterwards, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj led the Patotsav Vidhi.
In celebration of Sadguru Din, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, divine sants, and haribhaktos performed dhyan. For half an hour, everyone in the sabha sat in a swastikasan position and meditated towards the murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. After, sants sang “He Sadguruji” with tabla and harmonium as disciples joyfully followed along. Then, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj offered his divine ashirwad. After that, the sabha then went on with the patotsav aarti and samuh aarti.
Then, young disciples performed a dance to please Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. They danced to the kirtan “Swaminarayan Gadi Aapi.” After, a very young disciple sang the kirtan “Preme Naman Chhe.” The temple then played a video of Prem Murti Bapa when he first came to the new mandir in Louisville. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj then departed from the mandir for other padhramanis. Disciples then had mahaprasad to conclude the event.
