On Saturday, December 31, 2022, Secaucus Temple continued its annual traditional of holding a New Years' shibir to kick off the 2023 calendar year. The festivities began with a special lunch served to all attendees as fresh pizza was prepared. Following lunch, all attendees were encouraged to participate in the various games and acitivities that were scheduled. Women and men of all ages pariticipated in games such as musical chairs, balloon pop, balloon cup, physical telephone, and many others. After the first round of games, everyone enjoyed an intermission as pani puri was served along with other snacks for younger kids. The program then continued with other games such as tug of war, brain teaser quizzes, name the object, steal the bacon, scavenger hunt. At the conclusion of the shibir, all attendees moved to the mandir, where a highlight video of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi North America's dance performance during the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav was shown. After the conlcusion of aarti and niyams, all guests were served sandwiches as part of prasad.
