What an amazing way to finish our last health fair of 2018 and our 20 years of service. Today at Secaucus health fair, we had record number of participants in recent years and I am proud to announce that we provided comprehensive health screening, disease prevention, counseling and education to more than 375 people. Started from blood test, EKG, screening for cervical, colo-rectal, prostate and breast cancer to include onsite PAP testing to more than 100 women, PSA testing to more than 100 men and digital mammogram to more than 85 women. In addition, blood drive from American Red Cross had more than 20 donors.
Sincere appreciation and kudos to all for the job well done. All physicians, dentists, mental health providers and all other providers and volunteers did an amazing job for more than six hours to provide their professional and dedicated services. The medical students did an outstanding job in performing history and physical exams, vital signs, blood draws and EKGs which helped us a lot in getting everything completed on time despite more than 300 participants. So proud of our young volunteers. The flu shots were given to more than 200 individuals free of charge.
Lastly, cannot thank enough to temple volunteers for their amazing and self-less service from setting up the health fair tables and booths to food prep and serving to entire day of wonderful hospitality and logistic management. Sincere appreciation and applaud to temple coordinators Mahendra Patel and Navin Merai. Without their dedication and hard work, this would not have been possible today. What a self-less act and kind gesture to serve man-kind. Appreciate the entire temple management and volunteers.
Looking forward to see everyone to celebrate 20th Anniversary Fund Raising Gala Dinner with Bollywood Music Extravaganza on December 1, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thank you IHCNJ dedicated team of committee and volunteers and Secaucus Temple volunteers.
