The year 2011 is a grand year for the disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, U.S.A. This year, the Murti Prathishta Mahotsav of the new sikhar-bandh temple in the Midwest, Shree Swaminarayan Temple and Cultural Center Chicago, as well as the Dashabdi Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey will be celebrated. Disciples from all over the vast nation had been eagerly awaiting His arrival.
His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, along with a mandal of sants, arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare international airport from London, U.K. on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011, for Acharya Swamishree’s three-week vicharan of the United States. An escort service was hired for Acharya Swamishree from the airport to the new temple site in Streamwood, Illinois. When He arrived at Bapa Road, the sants already touring the United States and hundreds of disciples were already gathered at the temple site. He was seated on a chariot and welcomed with a dance performed by young disciples. The press from TV Asia had come to cover Acharya Swamishree’s arrival.
Acharya Swamishree and sants then proceeded into the temple. Acharya Swamishree walked into the temple hall along a fresh flower-decorated path created by sants and disciples. He then surveyed the progress of the temple’s construction, checking each and every one of the rooms and facilities.
Afterwards, He went to the current Hari temple in Schaumburg, Illinois and performed aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
The Murti Prathishta Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Temple and Cultural Center Chicago is set to take place from Thursday, July 28th, 2011, through Sunday, July 31st, 2011.
