Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey held its annual New Year’s Shibir on December 31st, 2007 and January 1st, 2008.
On New Year’s Eve, young disciples participated in a competitive badminton tournament. The shibir commenced on New Year’s Day with football games on the temple grounds. Later in the afternoon, disciples gathered in Swamibapa Hall to play indoor games such as kabadi, kho, musical chairs, jump-rope, balloon-popping contest, and tug-of-war. At the end of the day, prasad was served to all.
The shibir was, as always, an enjoyable event for disciples of all age and a great start to the New Year.
