Holi is referred to as the Festival of Colours; the colour being representative of the beautiful spring blossoms that would be emerging on the trees at this time of year.

The Fuldolotsav festival is referred to as the Festival of Flowers; because the fragrant flowers would be blooming from then onwards.

On these two days, it is traditional to spray coloured water and sprinkle powdered paint over one another. The colours represent the beautiful spring blossoms that would be emerging this time of year in India. For a disciple, the colour sprayed by a Satpurush on this day represents the washing away of worldly aspects and replacing it all with the divine colour of God.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple Los Angeles, California celebrated Fuldolotsav Festival on 24th March, 2013. Celebrations began with disciples honoring Lord Shree Swaminarayan by performing aarti. Devotees enjoyed spraying coloured water specially prepared for fuldol celebration. Prasad was offered to Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
