The spring season festival, Holi and Fuldolotsav, was celebrated on Monday 5 March 2007. Holi is referred to as the Festival of Colours; the colour being representative of the beautiful spring blossoms that would be emerging on the trees at this time of year. The Fuldolotsav festival is referred to as the Festival of Flowers; because the fragrant flowers would be blooming from then onwards.

At Shree Swaminarayan Temple Maninagar, the sants and disciples gathered for the divine darshan of the Lord on this special day. After singing devotional songs, traditionally sung at this time of year, eminent sants sprayed Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj with coloured water and auspicious gulal powder. This was then sprayed over the sants and disciples. This is symbolic of how we should replace our own worldly inclinations with the divinity of the Lord's colour.
This year, the disciples of Panchmahal were granted the opportunity of celebrating the Fuldolotsav festival in the presence of Acharya Swamishree.
Acharya Swamishree performed panchamrut snan, the ceremonial bathing ceremony to Shree Harikrishna Maharaj. Sants and disciples then showered the Lord and Acharya Swamishree with coloured water and powder paint. This consecrated water was then sprayed over all the disciples.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
