Acharya Swamishree gives darshan to Padma Shree Anandjibhai at Shree Swaminarayan Temple, London, UK
Following His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree’s divine ashirwad, Padma Shree Anandjibhai came for His darshan. The title ‘Padma Shree’ is an accolade awarded by the President of India himself, bestowed only on the most accomplished musicians. By the divine grace of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree, such is the musical prowess of Shree Anandjibhai. His talent has given him worldwide acclaim in the field of classical music. On his visit to the London temple, Shree Anandjibhai took the opportunity to convey his sentiments.
“Whenever Acharya Swamishree is in India , I never have the opportunity of His darshan. Only when he comes to foreign lands, do I seem do have that honour. I am truly thankful that I am able to have His darshan here today.
“The title of ‘Padma Shree’ was given to me by the President of India, but I have only attained this status by the divine strength and grace of Acharya Swamishree. I have written thousands of songs for hundreds of films that have become famous around the world. Although this gives me great pleasure, nothing gives me as much joy as when I have the opportunity to compose kirtans for this Sanstha. When I hear one of these kirtans, I know I have truly achieved something special. Only by composing these kirtans, can I truly express myself; only then do I feel that I have put my God-given talent to its proper use.
“I pray to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree that They always remain with me in every performance and production. Only then can I be sure that my efforts will be successful. Jay Shree Swaminarayan.”
