On 15th October 2005, Acharya Swamishree inaugurated a new water reservoir in the village of Naranpur - Kutch, which has been built as one of the charitable projects of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. This will provide a reliable and constant supply of water to the people of this village.

During the opening ceremony, Acharya Swamishree said, “Water is one of the primary essentials of life. Therefore, we must take care to use it wisely. We must never waste it or take it for granted. Especially at times of drought and famine, the Lord becomes pleased with those who provide the thirsty with water, and the hungry with food. Through this water reservoir, the villager of Naranpur will be able to provide clean drinking water for their families and animals; and irrigate their fields and provide them all with food. God becomes pleased with those who perform such charitable acts. As children of the merciful Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, we must live our lives, performing such deeds.”
