On Saturday 04 March 2017, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the 27th patotsav ceremony of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presiding at Kheda Pragatyadham
The charming village of Kheda, on the banks of the Vatrak River, is the sacred site where Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa manifested upon the Earth in 1907 AD. With the inspiration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, a magnificent Mandir was built at the exact location of Gurudev Swamibapa’s manifestation, and its grand opening took place in 1990.
During the late afternoon of 01 March 2017, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj reached Kheda. The next morning, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj inaugurated a new training centre, which has been funded on behalf of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, so that young girls of the village can obtain sewing and haberdashery skills.
On 02 March 2017, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj presided upon the yagnopavit ceremony during which he blessed young Brahmin boys who had come-of-age and initiated them all with the sacred thread.
During the evening, disciples held performances in celebration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s year long Amrut Sadbhav celebrations. Many of the region’s dignitaries and faith leaders were present during this special occasion.
