On Tuesday 16 April 2013, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj travelled to the village to perform the Murti pratishtha of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in the new temple.
Arnej is a village near Dholka, in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa established a Mandir in the village fifty years ago. In celebration of the temple’s golden jubilee, with the inspiration and encouragement of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, a new temple building was built in the village outskirts. Disciples of the village subsequently built their own houses in the plots surrounding the new temple.
On Tuesday 16 April 2013, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj travelled to the village to perform the Murti pratishtha of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in the new temple. A procession was held from the old temple to the site of the new temple during which the Lord presided on a decorated chariot and gave darshan to all the villagers.
Having performed the ancient vedic havan ceremony before the Lord, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj installed the Murtis into the new temple sinhasan and performed aarti.
During His divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree praised the devotion of the disciples of this village – who may be few in number, but whose faith and dedication to Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan is steadfast.
Acharya Swamishree blessed all the disciples of the village, and Prasad was distributed to everyone in Arnej.
