The disciple of Bharasar, Kutch, had the privilege of celebrating the spring season festival, Holi and Fuldolotsav, in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj this year. Holi, known as the Festival of Colours due to the seasonal blossoming of trees at this time of year, was celebrated on Friday 6th March 2015.
Celebrations started off in Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bharasar where Sants and disciples had gathered for the Darshan of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree Maharaj. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj sprinkled coloured water on the Lord following the Aarti ceremony, and in turn, His beloved sants sprayed Him, to the delight of the gathered congregation. Similar celebrations took place in Maninagar Dham in presence of sants and disciples.
Festivities then moved to a nearby farm, where everyone would enjoy playing and frolicking in coloured water and gulal coloured powder. Acharya Swamishree bathed Shree Harikrishna Maharaj in coloured water to kick off the celebrations, and then took to an elevated platform to spray the gathered thousands with consecrated coloured water. The entire scene was a sea of colour – everyone had truly become coloured by the colour of the Lord.
