Thursday 3 October 2013 marked the 22nd anniversary of when His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree inaugurated Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir, the magnificent memorial of unsurpassed love unto Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa.
At 8.00am, Acharya Swamishree reached the Smruti Mandir, where He was welcomed by young disciples of Godasar performing a special dance. The splendour of the Smruti Mandir had been augmented with fresh flowers and garlands. Acharya Swamishree performed the auspicious patotsav ceremony to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Thaal was offered to the Lord, after which disciples were given the opportunity of performing aarti. He then led the entire group of Sants, and performed pradakshina around the Smruti Mandir.
Returning to Maninagar, an assembly was held during which Acharya Swamishree Maharaj talked about the true virtues of religion and devotion, which Gurudev Swamibapa has instilled within our lives.
On this special day, numerous new publications were inaugurated. This included a new CD of devotional kirtans – Marmali Murti Mavni Re, and a new book called Shree Harirasamrutsar – containing a narrative about each kirtan composed by Shree Vasantbhai Patel, included in Shree Harirasamrut Kavya scripture. The thoughts in the mind of Shree Vasantbhai when he wrote kirtan, and the occasion when it was first sung, is described in this splendid new book.
