Further to Acharya Swamishree’s health complications whilst recently in Kenya, He has been having check-ups in Mumbai over the past 2 weeks.
On Tuesday 5 Feb 2013, He underwent heart angiography at Mumbai’s Cumballa Hill Hospital and Heart Institute.
During this procedure, it was apparent to the doctors that some degree of blockage had occurred in one artery. On the advice of the specialist cardiologists, Acharya Swamishree, balloon angioplasty was performed and a small cardiac stent inserted to keep the vessel open. Acharya Swamishree was completely conscious throughout the procedure.
He will be kept in intensive care until Wednesday afternoon for monitoring, and will then return to Mandir.
By the grace of the supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, Acharya Swamishree remains in good health and we are all praying for a speedy and complete recovery.
