Having recently returned from a tour of East Africa, Acharya Swamishree travelled to the village of Kadi, in the Mehsana district of Gujarat, to perform the annual patotsav ceremony. The sacred ceremony was held on Sunday 5 February 2012 in the presence of sants and disciples from all over Gujarat. The temple in Kadi has a special significance in the history of the Karan Satsang; the original temple was established by Sadguru Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa and the divine Murti of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj - Lord Swaminarayan, was ceremonially installed by Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree.
During the morning of the patotsav day, Acharya Swamishree performed the Mangla Aarti, after which Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj gave darshan without His robes. Acharya Swamishree then performed the patotsav ceremony of Lord Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran Swamibapa. During this auspicious ceremony, Acharya Swamishree bathed Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj with the five nectars, milk, saffron, honey, yogurt and sugar. After the ceremony, a lavish array of foods was offered to the Lord in the form of a splendid Annakut. Sants and disciples were then given the opportunity to perform Aarti before the Lord.
During Acharya Swamishree's divine blessings, He spoke about the significance of the Kadi temple and described the glory of the merciful Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. The official festival invitation booklet for the forthcoming celebrations in Panchmahal, was inaugurated on this special day by Acharya Swamishree.
