Second Day of the Mahotsav
Friday 8 May 2009, Samvat 2065 Vaishak Sud 14
Today was the second day of the Golden Jubilee Festival. On the first day, Acharya Swamishree performed the commencement of the main scripture recitals. On this second day, the completion ceremonies of 2 of the major recitals, of the sacred scripture Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, and Jeevanpran Swamibapa ni Vato Part 1 were held.
The benefactors of the recitals performed adoration to the scriptures and to Acharya Swamishree and made offering to place at the Lord’s lotus feet.
A new edition of the introductory booklet about Bapashree, ‘Kutch Naa Sant Abji Bapa’ was inaugurated during the assembly.
A symbolic golden key to the new Mandir was presented by the Senior Sadguru Sants and Trustees to Acharya Swamishree, who then presented the key to the villagers of Vrushpur.
During His divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree described the dire circumstances that were faced by the disciples of Bapashree after He had departed from the Earth. Opponents, out of sheer spite, envy and jealousy, spread hatred for Bapashree and His adherents. The name of Bapashree could not even be uttered. At that time, Jeevanpran Swamibapa travelled to Vrushpur and provided them with a lifeline. The disciples became strong again due to the mercy of Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. Acharya Swamishree then talked about some of the many divine episodes performed by Jeevanpran Bapashree in the village.
At the end of Acharya Swamishree’s blessings, the young dancers of Shree Muktajeevan Kala Academy performed a dance to the devotional song ‘Mohi Taare Latake.’ Acharya Swamishree was delighted by the devotion of the dancers and joined in the dancing. He then blessed the dancers and presented an award to the choreographer of the dances performed during the previous evening’s show, Saurabh Rajyaguru.
During the afternoon assembly, the communal scripture recitals of Shree Abji Bapashree ni Vato was held. Thereafter, Acharya Swamishree continued the recital of the Rahasyarth Pradipika Tika Sah Vachanamrut scripture.
Bhakti Sangeet Night
The evening show comprised of devotional singing performed by Swamibapa’s highly talented Sants. During the finale, ‘Mil Gaya Mil Gaya Abji Bapa’ was sung by Shree Vivekbhushandasji Swami. Acharya Swamishree came onto the stage and delighted everyone by dancing to the song, bringing unforgettable memories for everyone.
