Inspirator: His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj
Campaign for Freedom from Addiction and Vices in Vaghjipur

From Friday 14 March to Wednesday 19 March, Acharya Swamishree held a 6 day campaign to provide spiritual enlightenment and teach the dangers of addictions and vices to the villagers of Vaghjipur in Panchmahal, and the surrounding villages. Each day, an assembly was held in a different village during which hundreds of people were present. Acharya Swamishree explained that being addicted to vices is one of the worst of a person’s evils because such addictions lead to an uncontrolled state of mind and consequently, one cannot differentiate between what is right and wrong. This state of delusion then leads to the degeneration of one's character. Acharya Swamishree explained that it is imperative that a person remains in control of his mind and body; and never allow evil vices to control him.

In this manner, Acharya Swamishree provided spiritual enlightenment and character reformation to thousands of people, both young and old; and strived to preserve moral and cultural values throughout the society. Acharya Swamishree and the sants gave strength and encouragement to become free from their various addictions and adopt the moral life, and were educated about the fallacy of oppression by evil spirits and inhumane practices. They were given the opportunity to become righteous and principled children of the Lord, and lead a life of honour and devotion.
