Inspirator: His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj
Exhibition about the work of Jeevanpran Swamibapa held in Surat

During the final few months leading to Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabdi (Centenary), Acharya Swamishree has inspired grand exhibitions to be held in various cities around Gujarat.

Through these exhibitions, it is aimed to bring awareness to the people about the immense work instigated by Jeevanpran Swamibapa for the progression of the entire Swaminarayan Sampraday, and also the community at large. The first of these exhibitions was held in Surat from 8 to 12 May 2007, in the vast grounds of Dharuka College.

The honourable Mayor of Surat, Dr Kanubhai Mavani performed the opening of the Exhibition, in the presence of various other dignitaries. By the command of Acharya Swamishree, the sants of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan presented the guests with appropriate mementos of the occasion and conveyed the blessings of Acharya Swamishree.

The exhibition comprised of video and live dance and music performances, highlighting the work of Jeevanpran Swamibapa. Key events through Swamibapa’s time upon the Earth were shown in the exhibits; students of our boarding school explained the history to visitors and answered their questions. Students of Shree Muktajeevan Kala Academy performed the live dances.

During the evening of 11 May, a cultural music program was held in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree. Shree Sairam Dave and his music group performed in front of an audience of over 6000 people.

A grand procession was also held on Saturday 12 May through the streets of Surat.

During the period of these 5 days, an estimated 65,000 people visited the exhibition.
