India Independence Day - Secaucus, New Jersey
In the evening of Sunday, August 22nd, 2010, the Indian Caucus of Secaucus held a celebration for India's 63rd Independence Day at the Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center in Secaucus. The organization had invited Swamibapa Pipe Band to escort the honorary dignitaries, including the mayor of Secaucus, into the auditorium and to perform in the evening's cultural programs.

India Day Parade - Edison, NJ 2010
Since 2006, Swamibapa Pipe Band has been invited to play in one of the three main India Day Parades that take place each year in the United States to celebrate India's independence. This year, the band had the honor of leading the India Day Parade in Edison, New Jersey - one of America's largest Indian-populated cities - on Sunday, August 8th, 2010.

Hindola Darshan 2010 - New Jersey
This year, the auspicious Hindola Festival began on Ashad Vad 1, 2066 (July 27th, 2010), and it will run for the duration of one month. During this time, disciples decorate, with a variety of items, beautiful hindolas on which to seat Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

9th Patosav of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, New Jersey
Sunday, August 1st, 2010 marked the 9th Patotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey. Shortly after Mangala Aarti, Acharya Swamishree performed the 9th Patotsav ceremony. Hundreds of disciples who had gathered from all across the United States and all over the world participated in the ceremony as well.

Bhakti Sangeet Night
In slok 103 of the Shikshapatri, Lord Shree Swaminarayan describes bhakti (devotion) as intense love for the Lord combined with a true understanding and knowledge of His supremacy and grandeur. In Gadhada First Section 40 of the Vachanamrut, the Lord further describes bhakti by explaining that there are nine different types of bhakti a disciple may perform.

Canada Vicahran
As a part of their two-month vicharan across North America, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and sants visited the many disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan residing in Canada from Thursday, July 15th, 2010 through Sunday, July 17th, 2010. During this time, Acharya Swamishree and sants performed padhramis at the homes of disciples and spread the supreme teachings of Lord Shree Swaminarayan across the Toronto region.

Gurupoornima Celebration in New Jersey
In Hinduism, Ashadh sud poonam (the full-moon day in the Hindu calendar month of Ashadh) is observed as the auspicious day of Gurupoornima. On this day, all Hindus worship and honor their Gurus. Gurupoornima is one of the three main annual festivals in the Swaminarayan Sampraday. His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, sants, and disciples all take this day to gather and pay respect to our Gurus, Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.

Ocala, Florida - Ground Breaking Ceremony
Inspired by His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, a three-day celebration from Friday, July 9th through Sunday, July 11th, 2010 was held in Ocala, Florida in the presence of Acharya Swamishree and sants for the ground-breaking ceremony of the new temple. This temple will be the third sikhar-bandh temple to be built in the United States. Hundreds of disciples from all over the United States had traveled to Florida to attend the celebration.

Acharya Swamishree's West-Coast Vicharan
On Sunday, June 27th, 2010, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and the mandal of fourteen sants currently residing in the United States began their vicharan of the western region of the country. They toured around the region performing padhramanis, spreading Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa's teachings, and giving their divine darshan.

In the United States, Father's Day is celebrated each year on the third Sunday of June to honor fathers and their influence on our lives. Children usually buy or make cards and gifts for their fathers on this day to show how much they love and appreciate them.
