Swaminarayan Mahamantra Jayanti

Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Maninagar, Shree Swaminarayan Temple – Nairobi, celebrated 221st Swaminarayan Mahamantra Jayanti on 19^th December 2022. A grand utsav was organised to celebrate this landmark day in Swaminarayan Sapradaay. On Magsar Vad Ekadashi, Samvat 1858, 31^st December 1801, 221 years ago, Lord Swaminarayan Himself announced this very mantra (Swaminarayan) in a large assembly and explained the benefits of chanting this very powerful mantra. Today, devotees all around the world wholeheartedly chant this all powerful supreme Mahamantra.

After Mangla niyams, Sant Mandal and devotees recited the “Je Swaminarayannaamleshe, tenabadhapatakbadideshe, chhenaammarashruti ma anek, sarvopariaajganay eek…”.

Lord Shree Swaminarayan Himself has said there are multi fold benefits of chanting this Mahamantra – one is cleansed of his sins, nullifies the poisonous effect of a deadly cobra, a blind person acquires sight, a chanter emanates out of any difficult condition, it is the road to ultimate salvation, etc..

During this festive period, Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj and sant mandal performed Abhishek and aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
