Purushottam Heights Opening

Sunday, 16 th January 2022 marked another historical event in our Karan Satsang. This is the day when our present Acharya of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj, performed the opening of an Iconic building Purushottam Heights. This iconic building stands tall on the junction of Swamibapa Road and 1 st Parklands Avenue just at a stones throw distance from Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Temple – Nairobi. Purushottam Heights is a gigantic 10 storey building consisting of 60 residential flats with ample parking for residents and visitors. It has all the modern facilities of present day including two lifts, hot water supply, borehole for continuous water supply and up to date facilities in each residential flat.

Purushottam Heights was a dream of our beloved Prem Murti Bapa. His aim of this project was simply for the benefit of the disciples. How the members of Karan Satsang could reside in the vicinity of the temple so that they can participate in all the activities of the temple without any difficulty. Search for the property started long time back and with the grace of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, a piece of land was secured on 1 st Parklands Avenue. 

Construction work has been completed and the building has been fully occupied. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the grand opening on 16 th Jnauary 2022. A mini procession was held from temple to Purushottam Heights. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj together with Harikishna Maharaj and Prem Murti Bapa gave darshan on a chariot as sants and devotees sang victory slogans and kirtans. 

A beautifully decorated stage was set up at Purushottam Heights. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed panchamrut snan to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Blessed all the professional team that helped in the construction of the building with trademark Karan Satsang paagh, shawl and flower garland. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj then showered His divine blessing to all residents in Purushottam Heights and the entire congregation. He emphasized on the darshan of The Lord each morning and evening so that The Lord Himself becomes the doer of all our activities. Attend to all functions in the temple and serve The Lord with true devotion to please The Lord. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj together with sant mandal performed poojan in each of the 60 residential flats and blessed all the occupants of the flats. 

Lunch Mahaprasad, including jalebee, gathia was served at the temple to all the devotees. Devotees
then dispersed with sweet memories of this historical event.
