Therefore, Guru is the one who detaches us from the darkness and directs us to the brighter side of our lives. Our Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa, did not only tour from one place to another, but instilled religious values and spiritual knowledge in us, and showed us the right path of life.

The Guru Poornima celebrations commenced with Sandhya Aarti Niyams. Thereafter, our beloved Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa, was seated upon a palanquin adorned in beautiful garments and ceremoniously escorted to His throne in the temple hall. To grace this Shahi-Swagat, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipeband- Nairobi gave their salutations and played melodious tunes. Devotees both young and old carried offerings; which consisted of fresh and dry fruits, flowers and Cupcakes. Disciples then performed Poojan to Gururaj Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and performed Samooh aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

The congregation was blessed with the audio clips of the Divine Discourses of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree Maharaj. As a disciple, one should take into account of how devoted and grateful he is to the Lord; has he progressed or regressed? If regressed, why so? We need to do away with the bad habits and discipline ourselves by following the commands of the Lord.

Prasad of “Aradiya” and “Sev Mamra” was distributed to all.
