Tuesday, December 26th 2017 marked the 65th Patotsav (Anniversary) of Maniinagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Shree Swaminarayan Siddhant Sajivan Mandal - Nairobi. Shortly after Mangla Aarti, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj commenced the Patotsav ceremony. On this auspicious occasion, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj showered the divine lotus feet of the Lord with flower petals. This also marks the 17th anniversary since the temple was relocated to Parklands from Kirinyaga Road.
Sants and disciples worked hand in hand to prepare a grand Annakut to offer to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, which contained a plethora of Indian sweets, cakes and savories. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj cut the cake and offered it to the Lord. Thereafter Acharya Swamishree, sants, and disciples performed aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
Acharya Swamishree then blessed the congregation with His divine discourses. Later, Mahaprasad was served to all present.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
