107th Pragatya Jayanti of Muktajeevan Swamibapa 24 Sept 2014

On Bhadarva Aamas, 24th September 2014, followers of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, all over the world, celebrated 107th Pragatya Jayanti of their beloved Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa manifested on this earth on Bhadarva Aamas 7th October 1907. Jeevanpran Swamibapa (as He was affectionately known; Jeevanpran meaning - life and soul) led the faith through the so called "modern era". He toured all over India, from village to village, town to town, city to city, establishing followers and temples. He established Swaminarayan Temples all over the world, including United Kingdom, USA, Australia and Africa. He travelled far and wide resting very little and enduring much self-sufferance in order to help the people get a better understanding of the eternal peace that rests in God. He was the first pioneer sant from the Swaminarayan religion to travel outside India to preach the true tenets of Lord Swaminarayan. He first set His foot on African soil in 1948 when he arrived in Mombasa.

On the auspicious day of His 107th Pragatya Jayanti, devotees in Nairobi performed poojan of Muktajeevan Swamibapa by offering flower garlands, tilak, vastra and aarti. They also decorated the temple with flowers and balloons. A grand delicious cake was cut and offered to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa to celebrate this auspicious day. Through audio device, all those present were showered by His Divine blessings. Acharya Swamishree had also sent His Divine blessings through a letter from India which was read to the congregation.

Everyone dispersed with sweet memories of beloved Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and a packet of prasad.
