HDH Acharya Swamishree's 26th Vicharan to Nairobi - 9th November 2014

HDH Acharya Swamishree arrived in Nairobi on Sunday, 9th November 2014 for the 26th time with a group of highly talented sants from India. Many people had come to welcome Him when they heard that He was coming to Nairobi. Glittering like a bright star on a dark night, He was elegantly seated on a chariot pulled by young devotees. Swamibapa Pipe Band spiced up the occasion by playing some mind soothing musical tunes. Ladies carried traditional urns and sang kirtans to give Him a ceremonial welcome. On such an auspicious day, the devos could not stay back as well. They too yearned for His divine darshan and welcomed Him upon His arrival. Indra Dev welcomed His Holiness with light showers from 6.00am. Then came Surya Dev who shone brightly, but Vayu Dev came in the form of a cool breeze and reduced the effect of the shining sun.

It was a momentous moment. It was a time of great fulfilment. Many days and nights of hard work by devotees came to an end and the arrival of His Holiness brought multifold bliss to everyone. From The Lord’s garments, ornaments, flower garlands to flower rangolis, lighting, stage and chariot decorations-everything stood out in and around the spick and span temple. It was a day of celebration. It was a day of joy. It was a day for which the people had long waited; the arrival of vishvavastalya mahodadhi (ocean of love), HDH Acharya Swamishree. He performed aarti and cut a cake and offered it to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

In the evening, a huge congregation gathered early for the aarti niyams, kirtan bhakti and ashirwad from His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree. After the Sandhya niyams, young devotees performed a dance in honour of the arrival of HDH Acharya Swamishree and the sant mandal. The congregation was then showered with the blessings from His Holiness. The members gave His Holiness and the sant mandal a ceremonial welcome with flower bouquets and garlands before dispersing with delicious prasad.
