Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth Parayan

On 23rd January, Acharya Swamishree initiated the scripture recital of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth. Sants read the Holy Scripture and elaborated on the contents of each of the episodes. On the second day of the scripture recital, devotees made a beautiful podium decorated with fresh flowers. Acharya Swamishree with Hari Krishna Maharaj stood on the podium as the benefactors offered gifts to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Acharya Swamishree showered His divine blessings to large number of devotees who had gathered to celebrate the occasion. At the end, everyone was served with mahaprasad.

Sadguru Din

This was celebrated on 25th January 2009 in the presence of HDH Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj. The celebrations commenced in the evening with Sandhya Aarti, Kirtan Bhakti followed by meditation. Acharya Swamishree then showered His divine blessings emphasizing on the importance of this day. He insisted that everyone must make a habit of meditating on daily basis. The real joy of meditation can only be attained when one is able to visualize the murti of the Lord Swaminarayan.

On this auspicious day, H H Swamibapa Pipe Band members took the rare opportunity to please Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa by playing the Scottish instruments in fusion with the Punjabi dhol. In their short performance they gave a number of different formations amidst loud applause from the members who had gathered to celebrate this day. Acharya Swamishree stood on the Gadi throughout their performance and cheered them up.

The devotees then performed samuh raas with live music and played a new tune “Thappo Thappo”. At the end devotees were served with mahaprasad.
