Nairobi Temple, 62nd Patotsav
Nairobi temple celebrated its 62nd patotsav on 26th December 2014. To celebrate this auspicious day a number of events were held in the week preceding the patotsav day. Just to mention a few, a blood donation camp and Magsar Vad Amas celebrations on 21st, Bhakti Sooranjali Nite on 23rd and Vachanamrut Granth parayan on 24th and 25th December 2014. A large number of devotees spent the entire week at the temple, engaging themselves in various activities - decorations, preparation of annkut thaar and filling prasad packets, organizing, co-ordinating, rehearsing and participating in numerous activities. As usual it was a festive week for all!
During the Vachanamrut Granth parayan, held on 24th and 25th December 2014, highly educated and scholarly sants conducted the parayan vanchan and explained in details the contents of Shree Mukh Vani (Vachanmrut) to the audience. The discourses took place both in morning and evening. Acharya Swamishree showered His Divine blessing for three continuous days from 24th to 26th December 2014.
On 26th December 2014, Acharya Swamishree performed Mangla Aarti at 6.00am. Patotsav vidhi commenced at 8.00am followed by annkut aarti. Acharya Swamishree and sant mandal performed the first aarti followed by devotees. First Muktajeevan Swamibapa and then Acharya Swamishree showered divine blessings upon the congregation. Devotees also took the opportunity on this auspicious day to pray for forgiveness of all their past mistakes and to guide them in the right direction in future. Acharya Swamishree cut a delicately made cake and offered it to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
A week of continuous celebrations and bhakti came to a conclusion with a lavish lunch mahaprasad and annkut prasad served to all present, compliment from the sponsors of Vachanamrut Granth parayan.
