His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, sant mandal and devotees returned to India on 20th January 2013. While in Kenya, He performed numerous scripture recitals and enlightened thousands of souls with spiritual knowledge.
The highlight of the tour was the 5 day celebration of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Shashtipurti Mahotsav (60th Anniversary) of Nairobi Temple. HDH Acharya Swamishree and a sant mandal of 52 sants came for this unforgettable mahotsav. This is the first time ever that such a large sant mandal( 52 sants) has travelled outside India. Thousands of devotees from all over the world had also joined in and took part in various activities throughout the 65day tour of His Holiness to Kenya.
During His visit, HDH Acharya Swamishree encouraged devotees to actively participate in religious, social, sporting and environment conservation activities. In Mombasa, He visited Sahajanand Special School- Mtwapa to bless the physically challenged students and handed over a generous donation of 40 wheelchairs to the school and conducted a tree planting ceremony.
A sports week was also part of His tour where devotees learnt some team building and coordination skills. On part of environment conservation, HDH Acharya Swamishree visited Karura Forest where together with the sant mandal and devotees, He planted 600 trees.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
