Blood Donation Camp - Nairobi

World Blood Donor Day falls on the 14th of June. To mark this noble cause, devotees of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi all around the world did their bit and donated blood. The blood donation campaigns were held in India, The United Kingdom, The U.S.A and Africa.

S.S.S.S. Mandal-Nairobi, which is located on Swamibapa Road, 2nd Parklands, held a blood donation camp inspired by H.D.H Acharya Swamishree in conjuction with Kenya National Blood Transfusion Services. This blood camp collected a total of 133 units.

H.D.H Acharya Swamishree conveyed his blessings on this selfless service, and said, “In this colourful garden of God, although we may appear to be different and varied in appearance, the fact that the colour of our blood is one indicates we are all one as the children of God. To help and aid each other is our primary duty as human beings. In this duty, the giving of blood is far more precious and superior than the giving of alms. Your blood donation can be the saving difference when the life of a fellow human being hangs in the balance. It is now well recognised in the medical field that the giving of blood is not at all harmful to the body, indeed to the contrary, it is very beneficial. It is with these facts in mind that Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan continues to campaign for blood donation and encourages all to do so.”

Donating blood not only saves lives, but gives immense peace to the donor for carrying out such a humble deed.
