Supreme Lord Swaminarayan - 227th Manifestation Day

The Supreme Lord Swaminarayan manifested on this earth in the village of Chhapaiya in Northern India in Samvat 1837, Chaitra sud 9 (2nd April 1781) at the home of Bhaktidevi and Dharmadev.

The 227th anniversary of this auspicious day was Monday, 14th April 2008. In the morning, after performing the ceremonial poojan, the Swaminarayan Gadi Flags were hoisted on to the eight shikhars of the temple as the devotees sang the kirtan  “Shreeji vijay no dhvajo farkavjo”.  Coconut, jaggery and coriander Prasad was served to all the devotees.
In the evening, a two hour long continuous Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dhoon was performed from 5.30pm to 7.30pm followed by the Divine ashirvad of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.

• The true Supremacy of Lord Swaminarayan is only known by The Lord Himself and His Mukto who reside with Him in Akshardham and can only be explained by them.
• The fourth  aim of Lord Swaminarayan to manifest on to this earth was to explain His Supremacy to the other deities and their devotees and ultimately lead them to His abode , the Akshardham.
• Akshardham, the supreme abode of Lord Swaminarayan is uncomparable to the abodes of the other deities.
• We should humbly pray to Lord Swaminarayan to give us the divine strength and knowledge to understand His supremacy.

The Lord’s  Pragatya (manifestation) aarti was performed after the ashirvad. Devotees sang manifestation slogans during the utsav ceremony as Lord Swaminarayan sat in a colourfully decorated paraniyu, gently swaying to the accompaniment of music and devotional songs performed by devotees who had gathered to celebrate this memorable day.

Panchajiri Prasad was distributed to all the devotees who had came to celebrate this auspicious day.
