Sadguru Din Celebrations 2013

Saduguru Din kicked off with Sandhya Aarti at 5.30 p.m followed by daily niyams. A meditation for half an hour was held. Meditation (dhyan) is the act of engaging or becoming one with the Lord’s murti and finding inner peace. After dhyan, H.D.H Acharya Swamishree gave His divine blessings where he explained why we meditate on Sadguru Din.

The purpose of meditating on Sadguru Din is to determine how affectionate you are to The Lord, your progress towards being closer to Him and to be at peace. Even a deep sleep doesn’t give you peace as much as half an hour meditation does. There are times in our lives when we are faced with a situation and can’t find a solution or a way out of that situation. If in such a situation, one remembers the moments with Lord, meditate or chant The Lord’s name, he will surely feel at peace and find a way out of the disturbing situation.

The ashirvad was followed by kirtan (Hey! Sadguruji Jem Kahesho Tem Karshu, Jodi Hathji) and dhoon after which the sants and devotees performed samuh raas to please The Lord. Mahaprasad was served to all as they dispersed with the sweet memories of the celebrations
