Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury is immensely proud that four of our own community members have been recognised by the Mayor of Brent for their outstanding charity and community work. Suryakantbhai Jadva, Mahesh Bhojani, Premila Bhojani and Muks Rabadia were all commended for their selfless service to society at a special ceremony alongside only a handful of other community champions.

Student creates a replica of the magnificent Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir, World Peace Centre for a school project
Sundeep Bhudia, a 16 year old student at The Compton School in Finchley, currently completing his final year of General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) was tasked to create a flat pack building which used no glue or tape as part of his graphics project.

236th anniversary of Lord Shree Swaminarayan's arrival
Wednesday 5th April marked the 236th anniversary since the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan manifested on the Earth for the benefit of all souls. Celebrations took place at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury in the traditional way of re-enacting the divine episode of the Lord’s arrival.

Annual Ladies Day a colourful sight of Devotional dance
The female members of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Kingsbury gathered on the 1st of April 2017 for their annual ladies’ day event. The main event saw a performance of traditional devotional dance called Samuh raas to devotional music, to please the Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

Devotional Dancing to celebrate Fuldolotsav at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
On Monday 6 March, the community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury celebrated the Spring festival of Fuldolotsav with a mass devotional dance.
Fuldolotsav (or Pushpadolotsav – festival of flowers) takes place the day after Holi. All over India, the days are celebrated by spraying coloured water and powdered paint over one another - representative of the beautiful spring flowers blossoming at this time of year.

2000 units of blood collected over 20 Blood donation sessions held by Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Kingsbury,
The community has organized and hosted blood sessions since 2009 and to date have collected 2000 units of blood, signed up 700 brand new donors and helped to change over 6,000 lives.
