Acharya Swamiji Maharaj's Divine Ashirwad - 11th August 2023

The evening sabha commenced with Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performing Sandhya Aarti at 6pm.

The congregation engaged in kirtan bhakti followed by Sant Siromani Shree Gurupriyadasji Swami reading a scripture recital. Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj was led into the sabha to conclude a Vachanamrut parayan.

In today's Divine Ashirwad, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj explained as follows;

  • The Lord has given us our senses, bodies and faculties in order to perform any action. It is up to us whether we choose to use those to please God, as should be our purpose.

  • The Sun gives the same energy to everyone. Those who are pious will use that energy to perform religious and moral deeds. Sinful people will use that same energy to commit wrong or evil acts.

  • We all have the same opportunity of being born as a human. God has graced us with that same gift. It is up to us which path we choose - the path of religion, or that of sin.

  • Acharya Swamiji Maharaj went on to explain that God teaches us that we are influenced by place, times and companions. If those influences are good, we will become good; if those influences are bad, we will inevitably become bad. Again, that choice is entirely ours.

  • By performing deeds to please God, any of our previously committed and accumulated sins will be discarded by God, and He will grant us eternal salvation.

  • To cross an ocean, one needs a strong boat, a captain to navigate it, and the wind to power its sails. To cross this ocean of life, the Lord has given us a boat in the form of this body, Gurus such as Jeevanpran Swamibapa as our captain, and He Himself is the wind that fills our sails. Anyone who does not take that unique opportunity to please God and attain salvation, is in fact committing the suicide of their own soul.
