The evening sabha commenced with Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performing Sandhya Aarti at 6pm.
This followed a Vachanamrut parayan purnahuti.
Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj blessed the congregation with his Divine Ashirwad in which he explained the ways in which we can please God. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj referred to the Vachanamrut second when asking "How does God become pleased with us?"
He explained that God becomes pleased if one is not treacherous towards God. One has to understand and regard Swaminarayan Bhagwan to be the creator, the sustainer and the destroyer of the whole universe. One must understand that everything happens in this world because of Swaminarayan Bhagwan, but not the deeds of Kaal, Karma and Maya. Everything happens because Swaminarayan Bhagwan is controlling them, creating them, He's sustaining the whole universe and He's destroying it when the time comes. The Kirtan that Swamiji Maharaj referred to was, Thari ichha vina to kai thay nahi, vina maraji thi trun today nahi... (Without the will of Lord Swaminarayan we don't even have the strength to pick up a blade of grass, because everything happens only as God wills).
The second thing is to understand the Murti of God. To understand that Swaminarayan Bhagwan is thvibuj meaning that He has two arms, He is Kishor Murti; His looks are akin to a newly adolescent child. He always presides in a Sakar form meaning He has a distinct form, and Swamiji Maharaj emphasised that if one considers Swaminarayan Bhagwan to be nirakhar- to have just light- to not have a distinct form and to just be light or energy, it would be considered to be a treachery against Swaminarayan Bhagwan. One must understand Swaminarayan Bhagwan to be thvibuj with two arms, to be a Navin Kishor Murti, somya Murti and a beautiful Murti which exists with a Sakar form. Swaminarayan Bhagwan says in this Vachanamrut that only when one understands this, does one become complete with knowledge and such a person is one with whom Swaminarayan Bhagwan becomes immensely pleased.
Acharya Swamiji Maharaj went onto explain that we will have phases in our life where we are happy, when we are sad; we will experience different highs and lows. If one has the understanding that everything is happening because of Lord Swaminarayan Bhagwan and whatever He is doing will always be for our best, we will successfully overcome these highs and lows in life.
