The community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury has come together to spread some festive joy by donating hundreds of toys across three children’s Hospitals in London.

On Thursday 22nd December 2022 approximately 300 gifts in total were donated to Northwick Park Hospital, The Whittington Hospital and Northern Health Centre. These gifts consisted of art and craft sets, stationary, colouring sets, toys, plush toys, puzzles, chocolates and more. Each toy was generously donated by members of the Mandir community for babies and children who are hospitalised over this festive season.

Ved Ratna Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj instilled us with the tenet, “society before self” and this latest charitable venture has been inspired by this mantra and was strongly encouraged by Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj.

With these principles in mind, it was the children and volunteers of our very own Swamibapa Gujarati school that spent time individually wrapping each gift, bringing our whole community together to realise this heart warming initiative.

There could have been no better way to end the year 2022 than with this latest charitable endeavour. It is hoped that this festive toy appeal will bring some joy to the children who most need it at this time of year. A special thanks goes out to all the donors, volunteers and children of Swamibapa Gujarati School for their contribution to this special project.
