Sunday 25 September 2022 marked 115 years since our beloved Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa manifested upon the Earth. It also marked the final day of the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav in Maninagar Dhaam, which the vast majority of devotees from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury attended. This year’s celebrations at Kingsbury Mandir were therefore more intimate, but filled with as much loving devotion as any other year.
As is tradition, over 30 of our youngest disciples, both boys and girls took part in the Swagat Yatra carrying offerings of fruits, nuts and flowers. These were offered and placed before Gurudev Swamibapa, who was seated in a golden palanquin in front of the Sihnasan, facing the congregation. The sponsoring family had the privilege of performing poojan and aarti, before cutting a birthday cake in celebration of the occasion. The assembled devotees were then able to offer poojan and aarti before listening to the divine Ashirwad of our beloved Gurudev Swamibapa and his dearest Sant, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
