Shibir Day 1 Morning Sadbhav Parva - Evening

Shibir Day 2 Morning Shibir Day 2 Afternoon

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj's manifestation, a Peckham event - Bhav Pushpanjali Shibir - was held at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury.

This unique and remarkable event was held over two days, yet took months of organisation and preparation; comprises a series of fun, games and activities that have three main objectives:

- Teach participants about the glory of our faith, the supremacy of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, the greatness of our Guru Parampara, and the unparalleled glory of Shree Swaminarayan Swaminarayan Gadi.

- Convey and nurture key skills that are useful in all aspects of everyday life, such as leadership, public speaking, problem solving and team working.

- Develop important values such as resilience, unity, honesty, inclusivity, humility and perseverance.

All of this is done through fun and games, challenges, tasks, and even a quiz night! The youth of the congregation were divided into eight teams, as many of the events are competitive – incentivising the participants to do their best to secure their league position at the end of the Shibir. Intellectual and physical games are then played by all teams, which challenge their knowledge of the Satsang, tests their aptitude and strength, and call on their physical capabilities – points are awarded for successes, with everyone desperately keen to become the coveted Shibir 2022.

Many of the activities, including the evening quiz, were based specifically on the history and glory of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, readying everyone for attending the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav later this year, to celebrate 50 years since Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa revealed Shree Swaminarayan Gadi to the world.
