The community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury celebrated the 238th anniversary since the manifestation of the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan on this Earth, on Sunday 14th April 2019. Celebrations at the Mandir commenced with a one-and-a-half hour dhoon - ceremonial chanting of the Lord’s divine name, as images of the Lord adorned in various regalia were displayed on the large screen, in preparation for the Lord's arrival. The Lord showered His divine darshan gently rocking from a golden swing, adorned in baby pink.
The pragatya aarti to mark the moment of the Lord's arrival coincided with the same aarti performed by Acharya Swamishree Maharaj at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar; photographs from that congregation were shown in London during the Ucchav. A video was then shown describing the glory of the Lord and the story of His manifestation, with excerpts from Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s Ashirwad explaining the reasons for the Lord mercifully manifesting.
The evening concluded with everyone receiving farar Prasad.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
