Remembrance Sunday (11th November 2018) saw Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury host its 25th Blood Donation session. The session turned out to be the most successful to date, with 146 units collected – breaking the previous high of 134 by some margin. A remarkable achievement and a wonderful way to honour those from the Armed Forces who gave their lives, by these donors saving lives.
Today’s session brings the total number of units collected by the Mandir community to a fantastic 2,508. This final session formally concludes this year’s Diwali and Hindu New Year celebrations. 2019 will see the Mandir celebrate its fifth anniversary, and what better way to mark this momentous year than by signing up to our next donation session on Sunday 3rd March 2019. This will be an opportunity for everyone to give this simple but incredibly effective gift of life, through the selfless act of kindness of giving blood.
Registering is quick and easy; just visit blood.co.uk (search for NW9 and order by distance). We hope to see many of you at our next session.
