Two days of celebrations were held to celebrate Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s 76th manifestation day. According to the Hindu calendar, the auspicious day, adhik Jeth Sud 13, fell on Sunday 27 May 2018. According to the Western calendar, the manifestation day fell on Monday 28 May. Events were held on both days at Kingsbury Mandir.
On Sunday afternoon, a live broadcast of the events held in Maninagar were shown, after which disciples performed kirtan bhakti, and watched a video about our beloved Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.
On the subsequent day, young children had the opportunity to play on bouncy castles, take part in games and challenges Purushottam Mahal. The children entertained themselves and enjoyed the popcorn and chocolate covered fruit for many hours. Activities for young and old were held, after which a cake cutting ceremony for Acharya Swamishree Maharaj was held in the Mandir, and thereafter everyone joined in taking prasad on this joyous and memorable occasion.
His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj is the spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the current and fifth heir in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan. He is the incumbent Acharya of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
