On Sunday 25th March, the community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury celebrated the 237th anniversary since the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan manifested on this Earth. Celebrations took place at the Mandir, which commenced with a one-and-a-half hour dhoon - ceremonial chanting of His divine name before the Lord's arrival - throughout which the Lord gave His divine darshan gently rocking from a golden swing.
The pragatya aarti to mark the moment of the Lord's arrival coincided with the same aarti performed by Acharya Swamishree Maharaj at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar, and so the congregation was fortunate enough to have this darshan via a live video feed from India.
The evening concluded with everyone receiving farar Prasad.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
