After 3 months of bestowing divine bliss to the disciples of the UK and USA, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Sants returned to India during the early hours of Tuesday 10 September 2013.
Before departing from London on Monday 9 September, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj officially closed Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Golders Green. It was in 1982 that Acharya Swamishree Maharaj embarked on His first independent international tour – the purpose of this visit was to perform the opening of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Golders Green. After 31 years of giving darshan in Golders Green, the divine Murtis of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa were relocated to their new home in Kingsbury; and on this final day, Acharya Swamishree closed the doors of Golders Green Mandir. This was an emotional moment for all the Sants and disciples for whom this had been their sacred home of worship for over 3 decades.
On His way to the airport, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj went for darshan at Abji Bapashree House, Kingsbury, where the supreme Lord currently presides.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
