Five members of the Kenyan Cricket team visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury for the darshan of Acharya Swami Maharaj. They were hugely impressed by the state of the art sports facilities, including indoor cricket training facilities, that are used by the Mandir’s very own Swamibapa Cricket Club as well as the local community.
Kenyan international cricketers Maurice Ouma, Nehemia Odhiambo, James Ngoche, Elijah Otieno and Steve Tikolo, who all also play for Swamibapa Cricket Club in Nairobi under the auspices of Shree Swaminarayan Temple there, are in the UK for ICC World Cricket League Championship matches. They took time out from their busy schedules pay their respects to Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, and were rewarded with auspicious paaghs during their visit.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
