On Sunday 16th of March disciples celebrated the Hindu festival of Fuldolotsav. This festival is celebrated annually in India with great joy and delight, as well by Hindu’s around the world. Here at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, disciples gathered to mark this joyous occasion by offering of a variety of dishes to the Lord in the form of an Annkut.
Fuldolotsav became a memorable event as disciples took part in a traditional folk dance known as Raas. They formed a circle around a Murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayan and danced to various religious melodies. This was also a great way to commemorate the progress of the Mandir construction as the decorative window surrounds were fitted, and lit, for the first time.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.
