The 56th Annual Civic Trust Awards (CTA) Ceremony was held on Friday 6th March near Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. The community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury was delighted to have received a Commendation from the CTA which celebrates and recognises the very best in architecture.

Established in 1959, The Civic Trust Awards is the longest standing architectural and built environment awards scheme in Europe. From 238 applications, 91 national and international projects were rewarded with a Civic Trust Award or Commendation.

Commendations are given to projects that make a significant contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment, demonstrating a good standard of architecture or design, sustainability, universal design and provide a positive social, cultural, environmental or economic benefit to the local community.

The CTA is the second organisation to have recognised the significant and substantial contribution of Kingsbury Mandir, which recently won the ‘Best Community Led Project’ Award during the London Planning Awards 2015 earlier in the year.
