Over a hundred donors gave blood on Sunday 6th March, Mother's Day, at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, collecting a total of 1677 units to date.

Rear Admiral Graeme Mackay visits our "breath-taking" Mandir
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury was proud to welcome senior member of the Armed Forces, the Royal Navy's Rear Admiral Graeme Mackay, on Wednesday 24th February. His visit follows on from the Army Chaplain General, Reverend Dr David Coulter's visit to the Mandir last March - both with the aim of strengthening the ties between our community and the British Armed Forces.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Gujarati School students performed a special Valentine's Day assembly to please Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Alongside learning their mother tongue, students are also taught the principles, morals and conduct of the Swaminarayan faith.

Conservative Mayoral Candidate, Zac Goldsmith visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
On the 7th of February 2016, the Conservative Mayoral Candidate, Zac Goldsmith visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, the world's first eco-temple. It comes in a long line of MP's and Councillors who have visited the Mandir including Boris Johnson MP, the incumbent Mayor of London and Sadiq Khan who is Labour's candidate for Mayor.

Ladies welcome in the New Year with devotional traditional dance.
The female members of the congregation at Kingsbury Mandir, both young and old gathered in London to celebrate the New Year with devotional traditional dancing, known as "samuh raas".
A form of worship, samuh raas is a traditional folk dance originating from Gujarat, India, where the devotees dance in a circle around Lord Swaminarayan.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury hosts its first Open Day
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury held its first open day since moving from its previous residence in Golders Green. The day was organised by members of the community and included activities for all the family. There was a great fairground atmosphere in Purshottam Mahal as people tried their luck with knocking down the tins, testing their strength and playing their cards right.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band - London Performs at London New Years Day Parade
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band London was one of leading features of this years London New Years Day Parade. They were joined by 16 other marching bands, cheerleaders, acrobats and giant inflatables in what was the 30th anniversary of this now global event.
