Charity and Community
As a worldwide centre for spiritual, cultural and social welfare Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan humbly performs a range of charitable and humanitarian acts to ensure the spread of respect, decency, morality, positivity, comradeship and honour amongst members of the Sansthan and the community at large.
To celebrate these core values of the Sansthan, in the prelude to and throughout the Kingsbury Mandir Grand Opening Festival, the London members of the Organisation, will build upon its existing charitable activities and has organised a series of activities to support our charity partners. Thereby fulfilling Acharya Swamishree's aspiration that 'Dedicating one's life to the service of others is the truest celebration of a festival’.
Our Partners
Our main charity partner for the Festival is St Luke's Hospice, a local institution located on Kenton Road. The hospice cares for residents and their families of Harrow and Barnet whose illnesses are no longer curable. It has been serving society for over 27 years, and has done while offering all its services free of charge. We hope to highlight and support the great work of St Luke’s, through organizing and fundraising through a range of fun and exciting events.
During our Festival, we will also continue to support our long standing partnerships with The National Blood Donation Services and Sport Relief. Over the past five years we have held Blood Donation sessions that have collected over a thousand units of blood Blood Donations; and run many thousands of miles to raise funds for Sport relief. The work of these organisations remains immensely valuable and we are proud of our efforts towards their causes.
Details of the main Kingsbury Mandir Grand Opening Festival events organised to raise funds for St. Luke’s Hospice and support our charity partners are provided below. Please take the opportunity to support us, whenever possible.
